Therapy for ADHD & Self-Esteem
ADHD can feel like you're always having to explain yourself — to others, and to yourself. You may find yourself overwhelmed by emotions or scattered thoughts that feel hard to control, and over time, it's taken a toll on your confidence. Maybe you’ve come to believe that you’re lazy, unreliable, or somehow broken. If you’ve spent years feeling like you’re either “too much” or “not enough,” therapy can help you rewrite that story.
Together, we’ll work to explore your patterns and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have always needed more compassion, not more criticism. When you start to see yourself differently, it opens the door to living differently — creating space for lasting change built on clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

How I Do Therapy
I believe therapy works best when it feels personal, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I integrate a range of modalities and adapt my approach to suit your unique needs, preferences, and pace. Here are just a few examples:
DBT
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based therapeutic modality that helps you manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build more balanced responses to stress. For ADHD, DBT supports the balance between accepting who you are and working toward meaningful change — especially when emotions feel big, reactions happen fast, or self-judgement takes over.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy is an evidenced-based approach that helps you look at your life like a story — one that’s been influenced by experiences, relationships, and the world around you. For ADHD, it can be a powerful way to step outside the “I’m just not good enough” script and begin writing one that honors your effort, growth, and truth.
Existential Therapy
Existential therapy is a reflective approach that helps you explore your values, choices, and the meaning you want to create in your life. For people with ADHD, it offers space to move beyond constant problem-solving and ask deeper questions, like "What actually matters to me?" and "How do I want to live?" Especially when life has felt like a series of reactions rather than intentional decisions.
How Therapy With Me Helps
I’m here to help you make sense of your challenges and build more confidence and self-compassion. Through therapy, you can:
Lived Experience, Informed Care
My path to becoming a therapist began with my own ADHD diagnosis at age 6 — long before most people knew anything about neurodivergence. I grew up seeing my brain as a flaw, something to be ashamed of and fight against. No matter how hard I tried, I felt different, misunderstood, and like I was always falling short. Eventually, I learned to mask and overachieve, but it only led to crippling self-criticism and burnout.
What changed for me wasn’t a magical increase in willpower — it was developing compassion. Being truly seen and valued by others helped me reframe my experience. I no longer see my ADHD as a life sentence, but as a lifelong opportunity to understand myself more fully. That perspective is the foundation of my work: I want to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered to live as who they truly are. I believe that healing happens in relationship, and would be honored to be a part of your journey.
